Continuing the exploration of Bristol 4/4 variants, Immerse proudly offers forth this decisive two-tracker from the prodigious mind of Jacob Martin, better known as Hodge.
One thing rings true in any of the output Hodge is associated with; melody. Shirking the safety of sterile mechanics that so many producers hide behind, he tackles interplaying notes and harmonies with a fearless exuberance.

ime027 El Kid EP

On both tracks the synthetic sheen of Detroit techno gets refigured into an almost downtempo kind of house music. The melody is king, whatever sonic texture it might manifest in, leaving you with ample layers to get engrossed in.
That same quintessential yearning quality ensures that these first offerings from El Kid fit perfectly into the Immerse canon. It’ll shake the right kind of dancefloor, but it’ll also tug at the right kind of heart-strings as well.

This eponymous edition features tracks taken from the 'La Dissidence' album on 3pbeats, plus his two introductory Immerse 12" from 2008 which had everyone from Torsten at Hardwax to us singing their praises, plus selected cuts from the 'No More Room In Hell' EP and the 'Dissociate' album.
ime025 Outboxx EP

Immerse deliver a debut Deeper House mission by Outboxx. 'Kate Libby's' has a kind of Recloose-style Broken Beat vibe going down, featuring funked-up bass squelch under arcing synth pads and jazzy keys. 'Bertie's Groove' is a little more stripped down, revolving around a sheared swing-House rhythm with cool chords and strong subs.
ime024 Manaboo EP

Immerse present the latest dancefloor experiments from Brendon Moeller and Shegeru Tanabu aka Manaboo. Shimmering, tranced-out chord progressions and clipped 2-step swivel of 'Delinquent' on the A-side and the flickering syncopation and upbuilding vibes of 'SB Massive' landing on the flip.
